Footy Tipping - Round 14

Hi Everyone,

 

Round 14 was a bit more predictable and after tipping six, l am now in 40th position on 69 points having missed out on the Hawks and Tigers.  The World Cup is coming to the business end and I am predicting a Germany/Netherlands final with those brilliant Germans winning after demolishing Argentina (4-0), England (4-1) and the Socceroos (4-0).

Greetings From South Africa

Hi everyone, The start to this World Cup wasn't quite like Germany 2006 where I watched us beat Japan 3-1 and after a huge day travelling from Capetown to Durban and spending a huge day's build up with over 10,000 Aussie fans, we were unfortunately outclassed by the Germans 4-0. 

Some decisions didn't go our way but they were the far better team on the day.  In the prematch party, I got to meet FFA chairman Frank Lowy, Aussie cricket great Steve Waugh and former Socceroo stars Mark Bosnich, Charlie Yankos and Stan Lazaridis, former coach Frank Arok and Fox Sports commentator Melanie McLaughlin.  We can't look back and need to be positive about winning against Ghana on Saturday and keeping our chances of progressing to the second round alive.

Footy Tipping - Round 11

Hello Everyone,

Well it was a better weekend for me with the Pies getting back some winning form against the Bulldogs and my score of six being an improvement on the last few weeks, missing Adelaide and North. I move into 40th position being well behind our office’s leader Brant Williams in 18th position on 57 points.

Congratulations to Joe Dorfman for tipping seven and winning our weekly prize of a bottle of wine again. Our top tippers for the week were;

On the real estate front, another big volume of 505 auctions with a consistent 70% clearance rate. With the long weekend next weekend and only 300 auctions, there will be a huge 1000 plus auctions on the following weekend. Some vendors shall need to review their reserve prices as the market has definitely levelled off .

Footy Tipping - Round 10

Hello everyone,

Round 10 was another tough tipping round as there were quite a few upsets, including my Pies giving away the lead and losing to the Lions. My tipping wasn’t much better, tipping only 4 and sliding further down the ladder to 46th position by also missing the Hawks, Bombers and Tigers.

On the real estate front, the weekend saw another high volume of auctions with a 73% clearance rate from 924 auctions with nearly 1900 auctions set for the next 2 weekends. We had a busy week negotiating the purchase of a house in Balaclava Road, Caulfield North for a new home site buyer for $1.5 million ($300k under their budget) before auction and the purchase of a two unit site on Leyland Road in Mount Waverley for a developer for $820k before auction.

Footy Tipping - Round 9

Hello Everyone,

The weekend never starts well when my Pies get outclassed by the champion Cats in a great spell of football in the 3rd quarter. The Pie’s second loss was a similar second half fadeout similar to the loss against the Saints, showing that we still have a lot of work to do. My tipping wasn’t any better as I tipped a shocking two to move further down the ladder to 42nd position, only picking the Bulldogs and Bombers.

There were lots of upsets in Round 9 but still some great tipping as well. Congratulations to Joe Dorfman for winning our weekly prize of a bottle of wine and our top five for the round were;
